feast
We went to the Feast of Tabernacles at El Shaddai in Frederick on Sat. What an amazing celebration! Paul Wilbur led worship. We have one of his cd’s, and love his worship music. We assumed, (that always gets us into trouble), that he was a young man, and he’s older than I am!!!!!
Dancing was a big part of the worship. I loved it. Not only the women, but the men danced…and the children danced, and danced, and danced.
I want to know more….more about what the Jewish people practice and believe…more Hebrew, and , yes, Dan, my interest in Aramaic has also been piqued. I’m beginning to see how little I really understand contextually, historically.
There’s a woman in our church who studied with a rabbi to learn the “basics”, and I’ve been bugging her to share the wealth.
She’s taught the book of Genesis before, and I’d like her to do it again. Anybody else interested?
Maybe I have this hunger because our trip to Israel is less than a month away, I don’t know, but it’s there, and I’m going with it. Anybody care to go along?
